    Kimberly Goh was selected because of the essential role she played in assisting the Chapter Board on the Documentation Committee, for contributions as a member of the Training and Technology SIG, and overall assistance to the Board -- especially to the current Chapter Secretary as she steps into her shoes for 2018.

    Melissa Ruiz was selected because of the essential role she have played in both sessions of Total Trainer this year: helping oversee the project team, facilitating as needed, and providing support to both instructors and students.

    Laura Emery was selected because of the support she's given the Chapter's technology initiatives:

    • Auditing our website pages to identify pages that are no longer relevant and those that can be enhanced
    • Working on a new home page banner that is fresh and engaging
    • Making initial improvements to key web pages
    • Ongoing enthusiasm and hard work

    Jolynn Atkins was selected because of the support she's given to the following Chapter initiatives:

    • Improving volunteer engagement and appreciation by organizing the Spring and Fall Volunteer Thank-you Events; and for joining the Volunteer Engagement Committee.
    • Improving ATD-OC's Monthly Learning Event experience by helping Susmitha Valvekar elicit feedback and ideas from our MLE attendees.

    Erica Beggan was selected for her many contributions to the Chapter, including service on the Total Trainer Project Team; outstanding presentation for last November's Monthly Learning Event, "Finding the Superhero Within: Identifying Your Superpowers To Hone Your Brand;" presentation for the March BIZ SIG; and the career workshop she has planned for later this year.

    Gloria Hays
     is the organizer of ATD-OC's workshop,"The Five Behaviors Of A Cohesive Team," which held April 19, and featured CareerConnection founder, Jan Slater. Also, thanks to her dedication and expert networking, students of Total Trainer University can learn to create training by serving the learning and development needs of companies in Orange County. As Vice President of Professional Development for 2015 and 2016, Gloria benefitted Chapter members with an offering of workshops on Storyline, Gamification, and other topics. Thank you for all you have done!

    Tom Partridge was chosen because of his outstanding work helping to bring ATD-OC's new program, Skills Development Academy, from pilot to implementation. Together with OneOC, our partner in the program, he has launched Skills Development Academy’s first project, an eLearning course for on-boarding some of OneOC’s new employees. In addition, Tom has served as presenter at the Trainers SIG.

    Eileen Azzara was chosen for her outstanding work on all aspects of ATD-OC's Programs over the last several months, including planning and implementing the December Monthly Learning Event, Paint & Sip. In addition, as incoming VP of Programs, she has already assumed many of the role's demands, and is laying the groundwork for a successful 2017.

    Susmitha Valvekar was chosen because of the superb management and leadership she exhibited as the Chapter's 2016 Gamification Workshop Manager. 

    As project manager, she capably orchestrated all Gamification Workshop process and task requirements, including collaboration between Board members and the speaker, marketing and social media, and logistics. Her tenacity, enthusiasm, and positive energy raised the bar for ATD-OC workshops and event management.
