Engagement is more than mere job satisfaction; fully engaged employees are motivated and dedicated to making the organization a success. At the most simplistic level, engaged employees lead to happy, loyal customers and repeat business. Engagement also leads to improvement in retention levels. In short, it impacts the bottom line.  Dale Carnegie Training recently conducted independent research to determine the exact behaviors that managers need to exhibit to have an engaged workforce.

Frontline managers have more control over employees' engagement levels than any other contributing factorundefinedmore than senior management, more than company pride, and even more than money!  They are the biggest determining factor to a team's willingness to go the extra mile or even stay with your company.

Leadership development is critical to the success of any organization. Developing interpersonal skills is essential for managers and supervisors to become strong leaders. Providing the training and development necessary for building a cadre of effective supervisors can lead to a more engaged workforce leading to increased productivity, quality of service and higher profitability.

This interactive session introduces tools that training and OD professionals can use to help managers create a value-driven culture that will raise confidence levels and make employees feel inspired, enthusiastic, and empowered to achieve higher levels of performance.  In this session participants will learn about critical actions frontline managers must consistently demonstrate to drive engagement with employees, a process for conducting an engagement interview, and a proven formula that managers can use to give personalized recognition to inspire and motivate employees to higher levels of engagement.

AT THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN:

  • What drives employee engagement and why the manager's role is critical
  • Ways to develop a value-driven workplace to inspire discretionary effort
  • How to strengthen engagement levels through person centered leadership strategies
  • A model for providing meaningful praise and recognition to maintain high performance
