Missteps are more likely to occur when we inaccurately read our client’s needs and/or impose an academic model over delivering relevant and practical solutions. CHOC Children’s embarked on the process of developing and implementing an integrated talent management strategy to strengthen its infrastructure and build its ability to leverage its key resource- people. In order to make this happen, the OD team took a customer-centric approach, involving stakeholders, and designing for the customer experience.

About the Presenter: Kopitzee Parra-Thornton, PhD is the Manager of Organizational Development (interim) at CHOC Children’s Hospital. She is also an executive coach with the Center for Creative Leadership. Her career spans over 20 years with roots in program development and coordination and more recently in executive coaching, leadership development, and organization development. Kopitzee earned her PhD in Consulting Psychology from Alliant International University.
