Coaching in Organizational Settings (Brandman University)

Coaching in Organizational Settings is an introductory course that explores organizational coaching from an evidence-based perspective and is the first tier of a three-part coaching program. A variety of research based models and theories related to the skills and practice of business coaching are discussed. The learning environment is highly interactive where participants develop coaching skills by observing professional demonstrations, engaging in practice sessions, and receiving peer feedback and instructor evaluation.

This 8-week program is based on the core competencies developed by the International Coach Federation (ICF), and covers the following topics:

  • The theoretical origins of coaching
  • Current coaching models and practices
  • How to design an evidence-based coaching approach
  • How to implement coaching in organizational settings
  • The ICF ethical framework of professional coaching
  • Executive, leadership, and business coaching

This course is designed for three audiences:

Organizational leaders, who want to enhance interpersonal interaction, develop and motivate direct reports, improve employee engagement and retention, and increase individual and group productivity.
Human Resources, Organization Development and Learning and Development professionals who want to boost their effectiveness as organization change agents.
Individuals interested in coaching as a career.
